About This Special Issue
This special issue focuses on the latest progress in the research of pressure hull of unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV). We are committed to exploring new principles and methods related to hull structure materials and publishing related papers. The pressure hull of UUV seriously restricts the working depth, stability and endurance. The key to improve the performance of UUV is to develop a pressure hull with a new structure by using new high-strength composite materials. It is a general trend to apply lightweight hull in future underwater equipment. The ideal hull has both higher strength and stability, but also lower mass and volume. We hope to reduce the body weight, further improve the UUV load capacity and endurance. This helps expand the UUV's operating area and efficiency, reducing the number of times it has to be deployed and recycled, and reducing the risk of damage to personnel and equipment. We expect researchers to contribute to our special issue and contribute to the development of ocean engineering.
